What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions on which we supply our Mini-Epic products to you, whether these are services or digital content, which you can then distribute via our website www.mini-epic.com (Mini-Epic Site). These terms also cover your use of the Mini-Epic Site, whether you are a guest or a registered user, and if you do choose to register, your personal Mini-Epic account (your Account).

Why you should read them. Please read these terms carefully before you start to use our Mini-Epic Site and before you submit your order to us. These terms tell you who we are, how you can and can’t use our Mini-Epic Site, how we will provide products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. If you think that there is a mistake in these terms, please contact us to discuss.

Change in terms. You should be aware that these terms may change from time to time. Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we made. Where you have registered with us, we will, where possible, notify you of the changes by email.

Agreeing to these terms. By accessing and using our Mini-Epic Site you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Mini-Epic Site.

These terms refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of our Mini-Epic Site:

Our Privacy Policy. This sets out the terms on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using our Mini-Epic Site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

Our Acceptable Use Policy. This sets out what you can and can’t do when you use our Mini-Epic Site.

Our Cookie Policy. This sets out information about what cookies are, and how they are used on our Mini-Epic Site.

Who we are. We are MINI-EPIC which a trading name of CINEBOP LIMITED a company registered in England and Wales.  Our company registration number is 04445586 and our registered office is at 235 Old Marylebone Road, NW1 5QT.  Our registered VAT number is 171186217.

How to contact us. You can contact us by writing to us at support@mini-epic.com or Cinebop Limited, 235 Old Marylebone Road, NW1 5QT.

How we may contact you. If we have to contact you we will do so by writing to you at the email address you provided to us in your order.

"Writing" includes emails. When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.

Our Mini-Epic Site

  1. Accessing our Mini-Epic Site

Is it free? Access to our Mini-Epic Site is made available free of charge.

Availability. We do not guarantee that our Mini-Epic Site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to Mini-Epic Site is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of the Mini-Epic Site without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason the Mini-Epic Site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

Accessibility. You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Mini-Epic Site.

Where is it available? The Mini-Epic Site is directed to people residing in the United Kingdom. We do not represent that content available on or through Mini-Epic Site is appropriate or available in other locations. We may limit the availability of the Mini-Epic Site or any service or product described on the Mini-Epic Site to any person or geographic area at any time. If you choose to access the Mini-Epic Site from outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk.

If You register with Mini-Epic

  1. Your Account

Registration. You can access most areas of our Mini-Epic Site without registering your details with us. If you want to place an order with us, you will need to register an Account with us. By registering on our Mini-Epic Site you understand that you are entering into a contract with us under these terms.

Your Account Information. If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, please notify us promptly at support@mini-epic.com.

Some of our Mini-Epic templates have adult or mature content. To create an Account and order a product from us, you must be aged 16 or over.

If you Order a Mini-Epic Product

  1. Our Contract With You

How you place your order. You place an order on the Mini-Epic Site by selecting a template, registering or logging into your Account, and entering your personalisation details including, for example, information relating to your event, the guest of honour, your photo, etc. By confirming your order you agree to purchase the product you have selected on these terms.

How we will accept your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place when we send you a ‘Thank You’ email to accept it, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us for that order on these terms and we will take payment for your order. We will also send you an email containing your payment invoice.

If we cannot accept your order. If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this and will not charge you for the product. This might be because:

the product is no longer available;

because we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;

because the information provided by you breaches (or appears to breach) our Content Guidelines (see clause 11); or

the images you uploaded are corrupted or do not meet the Minimum Photo Specifications.

Your order number. We will assign an order number to your order and tell you what it is via email or in your Account. It will help us if you can tell us the order number whenever you contact us about your order.

  1. Your Mini-Epic

Personalise your Mini-Epic. When you select the Mini-Epic template you wish to purchase, you will have opportunity to personalise it with certain information. It is your responsibility to ensure the details you enter are correct, comply with our Content Guidelines, and satisfy the Minimum Specifications.

Minimum Specifications. Images uploaded to the Mini-Epic Site must be in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format. Unfortunately we cannot accept images in any other format including word documents.  For best results, we recommend that any images are a minimum of 480 (wide) x 640 (high) pixels. If you upload an image with a lower resolution than this then we will accept it, but the quality of the Mini-Epic will not be as good. However, you can amend your photo and your personalisation details within your Account after you receive your Mini-Epic and before you send it out to your guest list.

Your Mini-Epic may vary slightly from its template. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display it accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device's display of the Mini-Epic will look the same.

Finalising your Mini-Epic. Once your Mini-Epic has been confirmed and processed, it will be made available to you in your Mini-Epic account. If you are happy with the Mini-Epic, you can create your client guest list, add a group message, and then send the Mini-Epic to them. Mini-Epic currently allows you to send each Mini-Epic to up to 50 guests!

What if there is a technical problem? If you have a problem with the playback, audio or video quality of your Mini-Epic, please contact us at support@mini-epic.com, and we will use our best endeavours to remedy the fault. Alternatively, you can select the ‘Report an Issue’ option from within your Account.

What if my personal details are wrong, or I want to change them? If you want to amend the personal details that you inputted, you can do so as many times as you like before you send it your guest list within your Account, using the ‘Amend This Video’ button. Upon submitting any change to your Mini-Epic, your existing video will not be able to be viewed until the new one is ready. Each change that you submit may take up to 1 hour to process.  We will notify you by email to let you know when it is ready to view in your Account.

Mini-Epic Templates. You acknowledge that some of our Mini-Epic templates contain adult themes which some people may find inappropriate or may be offended by. You send your Mini-Epic to your guests at your own discretion and we disclaim any liability for any offence caused.  

ONCE YOUR MINI EPIC HAS BEEN SENT TO YOUR GUESTS, YOU CAN NO LONGER MAKE CHANGES TO THE MINI EPIC, OTHER THAN BY SUBMITTING A NEW ORDER.  You will receive a notification of this before you commit to sending it to your guests. You will not be entitled to a refund unless there is technical fault with your Mini-Epic.

Our licence. Any content you upload to the Mini-Epic Site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You retain all of your ownership rights in your content, but you are required to grant us (and  the guests you send your Mini-Epic to) an irrevocable limited licence to use, store and copy that content and to distribute and make it available to third parties solely for the purpose of performing our obligations and exercising our rights under our Contract with you.

Your system requirements. At Mini-Epic we always seek to use the latest technology to give you the optimum experience. We recommend that before you purchase your Mini-Epic, you ensure that your computer system meets or exceeds our minimum System Requirements detailed below.

RSVPs. When your guests respond to your Mini-Epic it will show in your Account. If their response changes, this will also be reflected in your Account. Please note, if your guests forward or share the Mini-Epic they received, it is possible for their response to be changed by the person viewing it. We cannot be held responsible for any changes to your attendance list that are as a result of sharing the Mini-Epic in breach of these terms and conditions.  

Please note, occasionally our Mini-Epic emails get stuck in a spam or junk folder, or will be blocked by your security settings. We recommend that you and your guests add invitation@mini-epic.com to your address book to prevent this from happening.

Calendar. You and your guests can sync your Mini-Epic event with the calendar function on your device. This will create an entry in your calendar for your event. Occasionally this option may not work if the devices are not compatible. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused if this function does not operate correctly.  

  1. Our Rights to Make Changes

Minor changes to the products. We may change the product:

to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and

to implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a security threat. These changes will not affect your use of the product to the best of our ability.

Updates to digital content. We may update the digital content contained in our products from time to time, provided that the product will always match the description of the product before you purchased it.

  1. Providing the Products

When we will provide the products. During the order process we will let you know when your Mini-Epic will be available.  This process may take up to 1 hour.

Our contract with you is for digital content which will be made available via our website and can be emailed to guests via our website.  It cannot be downloaded, copied, shared, or replicated in any way (other than as anticipated through your Account). If you, or one of your guests share your Mini-Epic we cannot be held liable for any discrepancies in the guest information on your Account.

We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

Reasons we may suspend the supply of products to you. We may have to suspend the supply of a product to:

deal with technical problems or make minor technical changes;

update the product to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; or

make changes to the product as requested by you or notified by us to you (see clause 8).

Your rights if we suspend the supply of products. We will contact you in advance to tell you we will be suspending supply of the product, unless the problem is urgent or an emergency.

System Requirements

  1. Minimum System Requirements

For the best experience possible, we recommend that your computer system has the following minimum requirements:

Your Browser. Mini-Epics fully support the current and previous major versions of Crome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer v10 v11 for Windows, OSX, iOS and Android operating systems. We recommend that you ensure that you download the latest version of whichever browser you prefer to you to ensure you have the optimum Mini-Epic experience;

Your internet connection. An internet connection is required to play all Mini-Epic videos, invitations and templates. You will also need an internet connection to submit and receive RSVP information, any sync to calendar (where such function is available). Variations or instability in your internet connection could impede the quality of your playback experience;

Your audio. For the best Mini-Epic experience we recommend watching the videos, invitations and personalised templates with your volume turned up to a safe level on your device;

Your Screen. Our Mini-Epic website is designed to a minimum screen size of 1000 px for optimum landscape viewing. We recommend that your browser zoom level is set at 100%. The quality of your Mini-Epic may not appear as good if your zoom is set at a level greater or lower than 100%;

Please be advised that the purchase and personalisation of a Mini-Epic template is currently only supported on desktop services. It is not currently possible to personalise a template on any device using a browser less than IE10.

We cannot be responsible if your Mini-Epic does not operate properly due to your system. If you experience issues, please update your software.

Content Guidelines

  1. Uploading Content to our Mini-Epic Site

Acceptable Use. Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload or input content to our Mini-Epic Site, or to make contact with people through our Mini-Epic Site, you must comply with the content guidelines set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Your promise. You warrant that any content that you upload or input complies with our Acceptable Use Policy, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

Your identity. We have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content uploaded by you to our Mini-Epic Site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.

We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any content posted by you or any other user of Mini-Epic Site.

Cancelling your Order

  1. Your Rights to cancel your Mini-Epic Order. Your rights when you cancel your order will depend upon whether there is anything wrong with the order, how we are performing, and when you decide to cancel the order:

If your Mini-Epic product is faulty or misdescribed you may have a legal right to cancel your order (or to get the product repaired or replaced or a service re-performed or to get some or all of your money back), see clause 15;

If you want to cancel your order because of something we have done or have told you we are going to dosee clause 12.2;

If you have changed your mind about the purchase you have made, see clause 12.3.

Cancelling your order because of something we have done or are going to do. If you are ending a contract for a reason set out in this clause the contract will end immediately and we will refund you in full for any Mini-Epic products which have not been provided. The reasons are:

we have told you about an upcoming change to the Mini-Epic product or these terms which you do not agree to (see clause 8);

we have told you about an error in the price or description of the product you have ordered and you do not wish to proceed;

there is a risk that supply of the products may be significantly delayed because of events outside our control;

we have suspended supply of the products for technical reasons, or notify you we are going to suspend them for technical reasons, in each case for a period of more than 14 days; or

you have a legal right to end the contract because of something we have done wrong.

Exercising your right to change your mind (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). For most products bought online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund.

You do not have a right to change your mind in respect of:

any products which are bespoke or have been personalised;

digital products once you have been supplied with the digital content e.g. after you have started to download or stream them.

The personalisation procedure for your Mini-Epic commences immediately upon placement of your order and your Mini-Epic (which is a digital product) will be available to you within 1 hour, so you will not have a right to cancel once you have placed your order because you change your mind. By placing your order with us for your Mini-Epic, you acknowledge and agree that you will lose your rights to cancel the order.

Cancelling your order will end your contract with us.

  1. How to Cancel your order

Tell us you want to cancel your order. To cancel your order, please let us know by doing one of the following:  

Email. Email us at support@mini-epic.com. Please provide your name, email address, details of the order and your phone number. We will acknowledge your email as soon as we can;

How we will refund you.  If you are entitled to a refund, we will refund you the price you paid for the products by the method you used for payment.

When your refund will be made. We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible.  

  1. Our Rights to cancel your order

We may cancel you order if you breach a term of this contract. We may cancel your order at any time by writing to you if:

we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;

you do not, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information that is necessary for us to provide the products;

you upload content that is offensive, obscene or otherwise contrary to our Content Guidelines; or

because the product is no longer available.

Although we will endeavour to monitor content, if you breach our Content Guidelines, and we become aware of this, we reserve the right to suspend your Account.

  1. If There Is a Problem With the Product

How to report an issue. If for any reason you experience an issue with your Mini-Epic please contract by email at support@mini-epic.com can also do this by selecting the Report an Issue’ button within your Account. Please quote your order number. We will aim to acknowledge any email within 10 working days.

Summary of your legal rights. We are under a legal duty to supply products that are in conformity with this contract. Nothing in these terms will affect your legal rights.

Deleting your Account

  1. You can delete your Account at any time. You can email us at support@mini-epic.com if you want to delete your account. When you delete your account, any Mini-Epic products that you have purchased will no longer be available to you and you will no longer have access to the R.S.V.P information corresponding to any Mini-Epic product within your Account. Once an Account has been deleted, all data associated with that Account will be deleted and irretrievable. Your Account may take up to 30 days to be permanently closed.

Price and Payment

  1. Price and Payment

Where to find the price for the product. The price of the product (which includes VAT) will be the price indicated on the order pages when you place your order. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct. However please see clause 17.3 for what happens if we discover an error in the price of the product you order.

Stripe Payment Portal Security. All of our online payments are processed using Stripe, a secure  and safe payment system.

VAT. We are registered under the MOSS VAT scheme and any VAT payable must be charged at the prevailing rates on the due date for payment. Under this universal pricing scheme, any changes to VAT will not affect the price you pay.

What happens if we got the price wrong? It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the product's correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount. If the product's correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order.

When you must pay and how you must pay. We accept payment with all major credit cards. You must pay for the products at the point you submit your order via our website.

What to do if you think an invoice is wrong. If you think an invoice is wrong please contact us promptly at support@mini-epic.com to let us know.

Promotional Codes and discounts. From time to time we may issue promotional codes or discounts. Please note that separate codes or discounts cannot be combined within the same order. If you have more than one code or discount they must be redeemed against separate orders. The terms and conditions of those specific codes or discounts will apply at that time.

Our Responsibility for Loss or Damage Suffered By You

  1. We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.  Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the sales process.

  2. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products including the right to receive products which are: as described and match information we provided to you and any sample or model seen or examined by you; of satisfactory quality; fit for any particular purpose made known to us and supplied with reasonable skill and care; and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

  3. If defective digital content which we have supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.  However, we will not be liable for damage which you could have avoided by following our advice to apply an update offered to you free of charge or for damage which was caused by you failing to correctly follow installation instructions or to have in place the minimum system requirements advised by us.

  4. We are not liable for business losses. We only supply the products for domestic and private use. By continuing to use this site you confirm that you are a consumer. If you use the products for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

  5. Other than as set out above, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arsing under or in connection with use of, or inability to use our Mini-Epic Site.

We have no responsibility for any loss or damage caused by a virus or other technologically harmful material that may infect your or your guests’ computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your (or your guests’) use of our Mini-Epic Site or to you (or your guests’) using any content or application on it.

Intellectual Property

  1. Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property. We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Mini-Epic Site, in the material published on it, and all Mini-Epic products.  This includes all text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, design, and other materials on the Mini-Epic Site. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

Your use of our Intellectual Property. You are allowed to use our intellectual property to the extent it is required for your use of the Mini-Epic product that you purchase. You are not allowed to:

remove any copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property notices contained in our material;

copy, distribute, show in public, or crate any derivative work from our intellectual property, and you cannot not use our Mini-Epic products for any commercial purpose;

modify any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text or video.

Credit Us. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors and creators of content on Mini-Epic Site must always be acknowledged.

You must not use any part of the content on Mini-Epic Site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.

If you print off, copy or download any part of Mini-Epic Site in breach of these terms of use, your right to use Mini-Epic Site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

Our Mini-Epic Site

  1. Changes to Mini-Epic Site. We may update our Mini-Epic Site from time to time, and may change the content at any time. However, please note that any of the content on Mini-Epic Sitemay be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it.

  2. Our Mini-Epic Site content. We do not guarantee that Mini-Epic Site, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.

  3. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our Mini-Epic Site. You should use your own virus protection software.

  4. You must not misuse our Mini-Epic Site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to Mini-Epic Site, the server on which Mini-Epic Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to Mini-Epic Site. In the event of such a breach, your right to use Mini-Epic Site will cease immediately and we reserve our right to take legal action against you.

  5. Linking to our Mini-Epic Site. You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists. You must not establish a link to Mini-Epic Site in any website that is not owned by you. The website in which you are linking must comply in all respects with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

  6. Links to our Mini-Epic Site. Where Mini-Epic Site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.

Your Information

  1. How We May Use Your Personal Information

How we will use your personal information. We will use the personal information you provide to us:

to supply the products to you;

to process your payment for the products; and

to send you our newsletter and to give you information about similar products that we provide, but you may stop receiving these at any time by selecting ‘unsubscribe’ on the emails or by contacting us at support@mini-epic.com.

We will only give your personal information to other third parties where the law either requires or allows us to do so.

Other Important Terms

  1. We may transfer this agreement to someone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation.

  2. You need our consent to transfer your rights to someone else (except that you can always transfer our guarantee). You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms to another person if we agree to this in writing.

  3. Nobody else has any rights under this contract (except someone you pass your guarantee on to). This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

  4. If a court finds part of this contract illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

  5. Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.

  6. Which laws apply to this contract and where you may bring legal proceedings? These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
